Job Title:
Sanitation Worker
Basic Function:
This position will perform a variety of cleaning, general labor functions throughout the Production & Entrée Departments as staffing needs require and possibly on different shifts
Scope of Responsibility:
Perform and learn all aspects of the Production and Entrée operations, line flow and set up for different products.
Specialized Knowledge and Experience:
- 0-1 years’ experience in an industrial food industry.
- Ability to read, write and understand the English language and have general skills to satisfactorily complete job requirements.
- Ability to communicate clearly.
- Ability to work well with all types of people including fellow employees and management.
- Must pay attention to detail and be accurate and efficient in record keeping.
Job Requirements
1. Responsible for maintaining a high level and USDA standards of cleanliness.
2. Responsible for the disassembly, scrubbing, washing, drying and re-assembly of various equipment on a routine basis. This includes removal, clean and reinstallation of pipes, cleaning of smoke stacks and ventilation hoods.
3. Similar duties apply to cleaning, sanitizing, and reassembly of previously disassembled equipment in all parts of the plant in addition to non-routine sanitation task.
4. Occasional operations of a fork lift or electric pallet jack.
5. Set up equipment for next day’s production run or requirements
6. Position requires the physical ability to lift up to 80 pounds occasionally.
7. Assist and learn to operate various types of equipment and machinery.
8. Learn line flow and production of many products of the Production and Entrée Department
9. Clean machinery and work areas as applicable.
10. Keep work areas clean in accordance with good housekeeping practices.
-Responsible for following food safety, legality and quality policies and procedures within the scope of the job responsibilities such as: GMP’s, food safety, product quality, food security, etc
