Lead Person B

Canning Plant / Production Department (3 rd shift)

We are currently seeking and individual to fill the position of Lead Person B in our Canning Facility Production Department located in Hanover Pa. This position is responsible for Leading and operating an assigned production line in accordance with guidelines established by Management in a safe and productive manner, while maintaining predetermined quality standards. Good communication with co-workers and Management along with basic math skills are required.


Basic Math Skills

Ability to record data onto a spreadsheet.

Ability to work with minimum Supervision

Ability to communicate to Management and co-workers and be a leader.

Ability to work in all environments

Ability to work mandatory overtime as required

Must have good attendance record

Safe work habits


Previous experience in a food processing plant

Job Requirements


● Leads assigned group as directed by Department Supervisor.

● Instructs and trains employees in their work area.

● Informs Department Supervisor of any problems that may arise.

● Helps control quality and quantity of work performed by their group and works to maintain a continuous flow of production.

● Must be able to operate a forklift and electric pallet jack.

● Sets up and ensures that the proper codes are used for product in their area.

● Maintains line speeds and goals set-up by management.

● Completes all necessary paperwork needed within their area of responsibility.

● Report any mechanical or safety problems to the Department Supervisor immediately.

● Responsible for physically lifting to 50 pounds as required.

● Adheres to all common safety practices or rules including the wearing of protective equipment as required.

● Adheres to our plant hygiene standards to ensure high product integrity.

● Keeps work area clean in accordance with good housekeeping practices.

● Responsible for execution of food safety, legality and quality policies and procedures within the scope of the job responsibilities such as but not limited to: GMP’s, HACCP, food safety, product quality, food security, etc.

● Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
