Assist Supervisor in efficiently maintaining established quality and quantity standards by providing leadership by example and training.
Reports to: Production Supervisor
As delegated by Production Supervisor.
Responsible for execution of food safety, legality and quality policies and procedures within the scope of the job responsibilities such as but not limited to: GMP’S, HACCP, food safety, product quality, food security, etc.
Knowledge of formulas, products, production equipment, and operation in areas of responsibility. Ability to administer and delegate work without supervision.
1. Carry out specific orders as directed by Supervisor.
2. Control quality and quantity of work performed by their group and works to maintain a continuous flow of production.
3. Maintain start-up times, speeds and goals set by management.
4. Maintain knowledge of techniques utilized at all work stations on their respective line, and fills in as needed.
5. Ensure that the proper codes are used for products in their area.
6. Responsible for container inspection, proper lid placement and proper fill levels in containers.
7. Instruct and trains employees in their work area.
8. Inform Supervisor of any problems that may arise.
9. Complete all necessary paperwork within their area of responsibility.
10. Report any mechanical or safety problems to the Supervisor.
11. Assist with ensuring accurate figures for monthly inventory and year-end audit.
12. Position requires the physical ability to perform moderate lifting.
13. Adhere to all common safety practices and rules including the wearing of personal protective equipment as required.
14. Adhere to our plant hygiene standards to ensure high product integrity.
15. Keep work area clean in accordance with good housekeeping practices.
16. Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
