1st Shift QC

Job Requirements


Responsible for execution of food safety, legality and quality policies and procedures within the scope of the job responsibilities such as, but not limited to: GMP’s, HACCP, food safety, product quality, food security, etc.


Ability to read, write and understand the English language and have basic math skills in order to satisfactorily complete job requirements.

Requires good communication skills.


1. Perform accurate analytical tests at the specified intervals to assess the quality of raw materials, products and adequacy of packaging.

2. Report analytical results to Production Supervisor on a regular basis.

3. Inform Production Supervisor immediately upon identifying a problem.

4. Closely monitor products during the times corrective steps are being taken, retesting the product to determine its acceptability.

5. If Production Supervisor or Leadperson is unavailable, the Quality Control Technician may direct the Machine Operator to make appropriate adjustments.

6. Place products on hold which are substandard and require Management inspection to determine their disposition.

7. Check that product to be reworked is handled properly and that products to be discarded are disposed of properly.

8. Monitor the sanitation and product hazards present on the production lines and in the storage areas.

9. Complete and maintain accurate reports as required.

10. Help in obtaining sales samples and their subsequent shipment.

11. Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
